Welcome to Year 1

Welcome to the Year 1 section of the St Ignatius’ website. In this section of the website we aim to include details that may be useful to parents of Year 1 children, such as homework, help videos and details of Year 1 routines. We will also showcase a selection of the fantastic work that our talented children have produced.

We believe that the best outcomes for your child are achieved by taking a collaborative approach to their learning; therefore if you need to contact us then please do so before or after school.  We look forward to working with you to ensure that your child’s learning journey is a positive one.

Regards,
Miss Starkie, Mr Higginbottom, Mrs Iacob and Mrs Ahmed.
The Year 1 Team.

Nessy

Most children in Year 1 have access to a Nessy account. Please allow your child to have access to Nessy at least three times a week to allow them to make the best progress with their reading and spelling. Nessy is tailored to your child's ability and they should access this independently.
