PSHE Curriculum Leader – Mrs Winstanley
Intent
We want children to feel confident in listening and in class and group discussion. We want to our children to make the right choices in difficult situations. We want children to know and be able to keep themselves safe and to know where and who to go to if they need help. We want children to know how to look after the world that we live in. We want our children to be equipped with the tools to be healthy, hard-working and respected citizens.
Implementation
Lessons from the PSHE Association are used from Years 1-6, so that we know that our lessons are relevant and up to date whist also meeting the statutory requirements.
Impact
We are using quality mark resources to ensure that our staff and children have the best resources possible in the delivery of PSHE. Children are taught three core areas of PSHE: Health and Well-being, Living in the wider world and Relationships. Mental Health is at the forefront of our teaching and learning throughout the school.
